I am based in Montreal, so I'm used to people thinking my name is "Jean" (French male version) and being very surprised when they meet me in person. :)
Not just writing experience, but varied life experience as well. I've worked in hospitality, retail, sales, events and more.
Fun fact: I'm also an actor! When I'm not at my computer, I'm probably learning lines for my next audition.
I may not be as speedy as AI, but I'm pretty quick (and with a human touch!). The most common reaction I get from clients is "Wow, that was fast!".
I'm careful to produce quality copy within a given deadline.
I'm available for freelance contracts in copywriting (EN), translation (FR to EN) or proofreading (EN).
Here are a few writing samples to give you a sense of my tone and style.
A RETURN TO WHITE REEBOK CLASSICS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST THROWBACKS GOING.
Born in the '80s, Reebok Classics have appealed to trendsetters for ages, and now it seems they're more popular than ever. The soft leather upper and rubber sole are literally the definition of comfort. More importantly, the simplicity of the design allows the wearer to make the look their own. For a brand that champions trailblazers in a big way, creating space for individuality has always been a top priority.

Reebok's decision to partner with one of the hottest rappers of the moment makes perfect sense. Kendrick Lamar has become a role model for young people looking to find their own creativity and express it in a unique way.

Making MOVES
Introducing a new generation of denim! To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Mavi partnered with Italian designer Adriano Goldschmied (a.k.a. "the godfather of denim") to create next-level jeans that move with you - day and night. The collection is called Indigo Move and consists of 26 styles for women and 14 for men, all made with an innovative fabric technology. The knit-based material feels like a second skin (read: "mega-comfy"), and the sexy silhouettes are destined to be fall-wardrobe MVPs.
The wait is officially over. UNIQLO opens its first Canadian location in Toronto this fall.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Locale: The CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Plans for more stores in T.O. (and the ROC) are in the works.
The Goods: Exceptional basics that really last. Proprietary fabric technologies - AIRism, HEATTECH and Ultra Light Down - have a rep for being stylish and functional (win-win!)
The Team-ups: The brand does collabs with designers and artists that bring a unique flavour to limited-edition collections. Partnerships with renowned designers like Inès de la Fressange and Carine Roitfeld have been über-successful. This fall marks the launch of the UNIQLO U collection, featuring Christophe Lemaire (recently appointed Artistic Director of the UNIQLO Paris R&D centre).
FROM THE SOURCE
While in Tokyo, we chatted with Yukihiro Katsuta, Group Senior Vice-President, Fast Retailing (and head of R&D).
UNIQLO's style philosophy "We don't want to push how to wear our clothes, you decide how to make them work with your individual style. We aim to support that creativity in our customers."
Japanese values inherent in the brand "Paying close attention to details; we become kind of perfectionist about it."
The design process "We usually do three or four fittings for each piece. Often, companies at our price points skip this step. But even if it's a $10 T-shirt, we will still do the fittings."
Expansion into Canada "We've had so many calls from your country in the past, that tells me you are waiting for us, and there is no reason for us not to go there."
LAUREN KLASSEN
This Canadian jewellery designer makes the ordinary extraordinary. She takes everyday objects (think paper clips, padlocks and pencil sharpeners, among others!) and turns them into unique pieces of wearable art. With her ever-expanding fan base, it's not surprising this rising star recently nabbed the CAFA Swarovski Award for Emerging Talent, Accessories. We asked her to fill us in on a few of her favourite styles, prods and tasty treats.
Style icon? "Phoebe Philo is amazing. Her style is effortlessly cool."
Beverage of choice? "My taste in cocktails is pretty unsophisticated. I love Bourbon lemonade - is that a cocktail?"
Must-have items? "I need to have several long black silk tanks in my wardrobe at all times. My standby is Chloé's Iconic Silk Crepe de Chine Tank."
Destination; the Emerald Isle, land of green hills and stout, to learn about a ground-breaking solution to thinning hair. See how Viviscal, a brand of all-natural supplements, has more than the "luck o' the Irish" to offer in the pursuit of full tresses.

Ski&GO is an end-to-end RFID solution that allows ski resorts to offer guests an entirely frictionless experience. Guests purchase their lift tickets or season-passes online; then scan their barcodes at self-serve dispensers at the resort to pick up their RFID passes.
By scanning their Ski&GO pass guests can: book rentals, access a locker, make cashless purchases and so much more. When hitting the slopes, guests can leave the pass in their jacket pockets - the gates read each pass as guests ski through!
Each Ski&GO pass is registered to a personal profile; which adds an additional layer of security. Guests include emergency contact info in their profiles and, in the case of an accident; staff scan the guest’s pass to find the information they need.
The Ski&GO solution is convenient for guests, and useful for resort operators. Each scan is recorded within the dashboard, so operators get a detailed overview of the resort at all times.
Ski&GO is a flexible and efficient solution that is ideal for ski resorts around the world!
Theme park guests are looking to step out of their own realities and into the fantastical world created by the park; but today’s tech-savvy consumers also expect an enhanced experience that includes user-friendly technology. Theme park operators are looking for new ways to create memorable guest experiences and establish a deeper emotional connection with their clientele.
From VR and AR to voice activation and RFID technology, there are many tools that can help parks enhance the experience for their guests. Getting to know who is at your park is an important first step towards personalizing the guest experience. By leveraging available technology, you can learn detailed information about each guest and create a one-to-one connection that will boost interactivity. Creating this lasting impression goes a long way towards developing consumer loyalty, driving sales and increasing exposure for your park.
Digitizing the experience
When using RFID technology, such as the Parkpass, guests are only required to provide their information once at registration; the system then recognizes them each time they scan their wristband. Most guests appreciate this feeling that the park knows them and will help them get the most out of their visit. Personalized messages can be sent according to a guest’s stated preferences or interests, thereby deepening the connection between the park and the guest. In order to learn more about each guest’s behavior, you can set up strategic touch points throughout the park.
